Work with your hands

Trying to teach the peanut that you can never go wrong learning a craft with your hands. Sewing, cooking, or deep tissue massage it will all be valueable in the future. So learn something and you might as well learn at 5. Gives you time to find your favorite one(s) and become very very good at doing it.
We couldn't be prouder of our first potholder!

Road Map

Took a quick trip to visit with my Granny this weekend. It was one of those trips just in case she gives up her will to stay with us and see her husband who passed away a year ago. Things aren't looking good and she refuses to eat or drink very well and is going to be placed on hospice. During the two days I was there she was very chatty the first day and the second day she really didn't want to say much. So I read her Bible to her some and talked to her. I held her hand because it was familiar and even if she didn't respond I felt like it was some type of communication. Looking at these hands could tell you quite a few stories. Now the roadmap that is left evident in the almost clear skin that shows her almost 90 years.

Love you granny!

Friends are awesome!

Even ones that might be more redneck than I am...willing to 'pet' the farm animals to make the peanut happy. You can't find better friends than that!

We love you Beck! You and your enchiladas! ;)

1.2.10

Well we officially broke in the "Easy Bake" oven. I'm not going to tell you how many times I had to refer to the instructions...and HOW are you supposed to get the thing OUT if you can push it out the opposite direction with the 'handle'. I'm smart than that, aren't I?
We did successful cook and put frosting on one cake. Emphasis on the word little. Now maybe the point of view here is a *little* distorted, but she shared it with PawPaw and didn't have any left. LOL It was fun to do though with a little help from the neighborhood girls.

1.1.10

So it is time to 'start fresh' and all that jazz. Obviously the blog needs a little love to keep me on track documenting things. I hate to take my little tree down, but it is just time come Jan 1. We were crazy enough to also be kilzing the entire living room/entry way area at the same time. Oh and 'the boys' were outside working on trying to get the room up on the storage building we are building. BUSY DAY!
Happy New Year everyone!

Honestly don't remember doing a lot of this growing up...but it is kinda cool. Think me and R enjoyed it as much as M did.
